I disagree with you in that you have not done or acheived anything in promoting your nation. I think that the process of learning by itself is a basic and essential part of journey towards helping your society develop. The society needs people who think differently. I once read that creativity is the mother of improvment. You and Heba are people who think outside of the box. I am very lucky to be your freind.
Take your time, learn and build your personality to be able to infleunce the society while knowing what you're doing. Don't be like those who do and judge without really seeking knowledge in their actions.

u might not realize that u've done much, coz u never see urself in other ppl's eyes...no one actually see themselves through other ppl's eyes.....but u HAVE done so much for our Ummah and for our community and for ur friends and family even if u don't realize that
u DO make a difference no matter how small you think your part is
so be proud of yourself..never say that you've done nothing..coz u have done lots of things
and ne grateful for having friends and family who remebered ur b'day
no one remember's mineunless i say it's my b'day, so i usually celebrate my b'day alone in my room by reading a book! last year i called the radio station and had them call me for a birthday surprise..y3ni i surprised myself..pretty pathetic, huh?

nadoosheh yes she did ..actually even in her birthday i had to call her brother over and over again to try to drag her out of the community service office in the univ. ......we all gathered at 4:30waiting for her arrival heheheh she came after 30m

so what i did last Nov is actually, sending myself a birthday card, and another e-card and called da radio station and had them surprise myself!
but it's getting boring year after year :S

One thing i want to point out. Thinking outside the box is not totally consequence-free; there is a price for it! People would always critisize one's thinking if he is different.
Think about this sentence: People are afraid of change! one can't imagine how afraid people would get when they someone daring to say no to the points they take for granted!
People try to stick the general rules as much as possible, and since our current habits haven't got us far as we see from the arabian situation, we NEED TO CHANGE THEM!
So change must start somewhere. So Batool, Heba and everyone else who wants to change his reality: don't be afraid to be different!! and be ready to fight and lose sometimes for it.

People are afraid of change and anything NEW wether it's right or wrong even if it's 100% better they are not even welling to try it ,they prefer to stick with the old same ways and that's how most of things here work in our countries and WE have to change it!!!! bcoz it's wrong and it's killing us and it prevents us from the process of progress .We have already been through different things bcoz of that and we are welling to fight for a good thing, idea, cause and as they say "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger :)"

Osama this is a radio show i've been listening to sionce i was in 9th grade..y3ni for almost 6 yrs now
it's called "L.C: lestiner's choice"
airs on Radio Jordan 96.3fm
Fridays 11am-2pm
Sunday "funday" 4:30pm-7 pm
see now, every friday following the 12 news summary they do a surprise for ppl who are celebrating thier b'days....try lestining to it today or on Friday..i think you'll like it...the presenter is so crazy and reeeeally active!
